Addictions

Addictions usually mask a sense of helplessness, insecurity, a void inside, feeling insignificant or not enough. Without the addiction, these feelings would normally manifest as vulnerability, anger, rage, despair, depression etc. So the addiction then serves a purpose, a way to cope or avoid.

RTT is an excellent way to work with people who are affected by addiction because it takes you right back to the source of the addiction. We discover the belief you have about yourself that makes you an addict, right to the cause of what is missing, or what is causing the pain that you are avoiding by being an addict, to drugs, gambling, sex, etc.  In RTT, we address these beliefs dealing with the actual problem which, when resolved, becomes redundant along with the addiction.
